Dandora Youth FC player ratings vs Thunderbirds FC

Below is a look at the Dandora Youth – Thunderbirds FC player ratings in full, with marks out of 10 and analysis on every single player who featured.

Emmanuel Adjei (GK) – 9/10 – Put up a man-of-the-match performance. Solid with his hands. Handled all the aerial balls well and his distribution and decision-making were superb. Showed what he can do, with a magnificent save in the dying embers.

Job Kenga (CB) – 7/10 – Did most of the ‘defender’ things well but his distribution and passing let him down occasionally. Perhaps something to improve on. Positionally, however, he was sound and stood strong all afternoon.

Steve Tettey (CB) – 8/10 –  A contender for the man of the match award. Very strong on the day and didn’t put a foot wrong. He was organized well and made sure his lack of pace wasn’t exposed. In a game where it was all about clearing and blocking, he did all that very well.

Zedekiah Otieno (RB) – 8/10 – A typically energetic performance from the right-back, his industry was summed up by a moment in the second half when he sprinted back to dispossess Thunderbirds FC striker and stop an attack after his low cross had been cut out at the other end of the pitch.

Kevin Kiriku- (LB)- 7/10-  An intelligent performance. Well organized in a defensive sense in what was his third start of the season. Should’ve done better with his crossing on a couple of occasions.

Meshack Muyonga- (DM) 8/10- Superb game. A clinic in how to boss a game from the base of midfield, reading every move from the opponents while also powering forward in possession whenever space opened up.

Khalid Diko- (AM) 8/10- Had some eye-catching moments on the ball. His distribution was precise – he found a teammate with 90% of the passes he made in the game.

Feisah Kadir- (AM) 7/10- Started well, charging forward with purpose from midfield. Worked himself into some promising positions when it mattered but his radar was a bit off at the dearth of the games and was subbed off.

Kennedy ‘Melo’ Owino- (LW) 7/10- A few promising moments on the Left flank but struggled to weave a way through the Thunderbirds defense in the first half. However, much-improved performance in the second half

Ronaldo ‘Roro’ Ochieng- (RW) 7/10 – An industrious performance but not a particularly threatening one. More room for improvement

Rodgers ‘Skiba’ Ochieng- (FW) 7/10- On the ball did well and could have grabbed himself a goal in the second half. However, he was caught out of position severally.

Subs

Malcolm ‘Marle’ Owino-  8/10 Made a difference with the way the team shifted and bagged himself two assists.

Brian ‘Papa’ Oketch-  8/10- He is inevitable. Came in with a quarter of an hour to go,  Brian led by example with his work-rate, passion and quality on show. Netted a sensational winner after skipping past a couple of challenges to round off a perfect afternoon.

Samuel ‘Kasam’ Njaga- 8-10- What’s left to say about this man? Kasam did his usual, hurting the opponent with his silky moves and passing. He did just that and capped it off with a goal in the dying minutes of the game.

Brian ‘Shey’  Chege- 7/10- Introduced to help the team see out the game, he didn’t get much of the ball but helped clog up the middle of the pitch.
